A rider's
bold beginning.
Following her parents' divorce, eleven-year-old Hazie Murray moves from California to her grandparents' ranch in Washoe Valley, where she must cope with loss and find meaning at Rock Ridge Ranch. Enrolling in the Castle Rock Farms apprentice program, she rescues a "ruined" bay Arabian gelding named Flyte for $500. Rejecting harsh training methods in favor of a local rancher’s patient cowboy logic, Hazie learns the foundational lessons of earning trust over force in the show ring and deepening her faith through family and the rugged Nevada landscape.
